WHO WE ARE
Prior to
purchasing the store in 1999 we lived in a seven room cape in
Ossipee, NH. Our intention was to sell that place and to
"downsize" since our children had moved on. Little did we know
that we would soon be owning a ten room colonial with an
attached barn, post office, two apartments and convenience
store.
We both had taught at Kingswood Middle School. After 17 years
there, Greg retired in 1997 and Teri in 2001. Teri still works
at the Middle School as a Title One Reading Aide. This gave us
a head start on knowing the community we were to serve in the
store.
Our son Mike leases space at the rear of the store for his
Pizzaria. (See Pizza) He and his two daughters are an integral
part of our lives and the business.
In February 2005, we began hosting traditional musicians from
Ireland at the church across the street from the store. We
call the concerts "Old White Church Productions." We have had
hosted such well known Irish
musicians as Paddy Keenan, The Kane Sisters, Denis Liddy,
Kevin Crawford, among others.
In the post office you'll meet Patti Nisbet. She and her
husband James are also Tuftonboro residents. If she can't
answer your postal questions, she knows how to find the
answers.
